August 12 Oregon Democratic Club's Birthday Celebration for Ron Rothenbuhler will be at Pearson Metro Park in the Macomber Lodge off Navarre Ave from 4 - 7 pm at a cost of $10 per person. Tickets are available at LCDP HQ. This is a great party with LOTS of field fresh sweet corn that is fresh out of the field. Come out & wish our Party Chair a "Happy Birthday".

August 14 & 15 Birmingham Ethnic Festival this year is a day and a half event - a Celebrity Pickle Eating Contest & Waiters Race will commence at 6 pm on Saturday night. Opening ceremonies for Festival Day start promptly at noon on Sunday. Be at St. Stephen's Church front steps no later than 11:45 am so that you can be recognized during the Ceremony. Remember, is you did not buy an ad you will not be introduced. Bring your t-shirt army & walk the festival route down Consaul Street. August 18 Join Webb at Webber's for her Annual Birthday Party located at 6339 Edgewater from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Lindsay will be 35 & her 3rd year of accomplishments on Toledo City Council. August 20 & 21 Annual Maumee Summer Fair Event kicks off Friday night with "The Taste of Maumee" featuring 18 different restaurants & a live band. Saturday Arts & Crafts Show! For candidates , this is an excellent opportunity to meet Lucas County voters. The parade begins at 10 am. The Maumee Democratic Club is sponsoring a booth at the fair & it is usually on West Dudley across from the city building. Candidates can have space for their literature. Be sure to attend this popular event!
